If you suspect that your partner is cheating, the chances are that you have found a suspicious cell phone number on your partners phone, their cell phone bill or even a number scribbled on a piece of paper.

You may think that there is nothing you can do, because cell phone numbers are not published in the public domain. The truth is that you are not powerless and can find the information that you are seeking quickly and cheaply. You can then find out who your partner has been talking to and whether they have been telling you the truth, all without raising your doubts to your partner.

A common experience is when you ask your partner about a certain recurring telephone number and they say it is a friend, work colleague, family member, etc. There is not much more tha you can ask without causing difficulty and strain to your relationship. That doesn’t mean, however, that you have to blindly accept what they say, while having suspicions that you are being lied to. Some people have continued on for years like this, causing a dreat deal of discomfort to their mental well-being.

Information is power. Finding the truth is an important step in confirming or disproving your suspicions and enabling you to move forward and make the right decisions for your life.

Of course you could hire a private detective but this would be very expensive and stressful.

The quickest, cheapest and least stressful way is to use a computer to access the same information that a private detective would charge you hundreds of dollars for.

This is done by using Phone Detectives Reverse Cell Phone Lookup Service. For a very small fee, you can discover the name and address of the owner of a cell phone number.

All you need to do is enter the cell phone number into the Phone Detectives search facility and you will have access in seconds to any available information. If the information can not be immediately retrieved for you, the staff will discretely search for you.

Many partners take advantage of the supposed anonymity provided by cell phones to carry on affairs. You don’t need to wonder anymore as the information is there waiting for you to claim it.

On White Pages, it is possible to do a reverse phone lookup. This is where you enter the landline telephone number into the search box, and their search engine returns the name and address of the person who owns the telephone number that you have entered.

A lot of people think that they can do the same thing with a cell phone number, only to find out that it is not possible. There are many reasons why details of cell phone numbers are not freely available to the public.

Why can’t I search for free?

You can do a very limited search for free. The only information that you can freely access is the issuing carrier and a general location of the registered owner of the cell phone oner. Any further information wwill need to be paid for.

A landline telephone number is considered part of the public domain, unless the client pays an extra fee to be removed from the public domain. You are able to lookup the phone number of a person or business, by accessing a phone book, direcry assistance or White Pages online.

Cell phones are a different story because most cell phone owners have to pay for both incoming and outgoing phone calls. They don’t want anyone to be able to phone them and waste their precious cell phone minutes.

Phone companies and mobile carriers have tried to get cell phone numbers into the public domain, as it would mean more money for them. Just imagine all the telemarketers that would take advantage of this. Understandably, cell phone owners have rejected such a proposal.

Is it still possible to do a reverse cell phone lookup?

Yes, it is still possible to do a reverse cell phone lookup as long as the details are not located in the public domain (i.e. freely available).

Some private companies have spent a lot of time and expense to collaborate their own huge personal database by entering into agreements with the many phone companies and mobile carriers, with the priviso that they do not make the information freely available.

The small payment to access their database serves two purposes; firstly, as compensation for their time, money and effort in compiling the database and seconly, to fulfil the legal requirement of not giving out such information for free.

How to do a reverse cell phone lookup

You should use a service that has a huge database to ensure a high degree of success in finding the required information, as well as having a “no find, no fee” guarantee.

Phone Detective is the best providor of such a service and has reasonable fees. Just enter the cell phone number into the search box, and you will be able to have access to any available information.

People of all ages have access to cell phone nowadays, and what is more, people of any age can own a cell phone. Giving a cell phone to our children allows us to stay in touch with them at all times, and let them feel more integrated to society, since they can also talk to and exchange text messages with their friends.

As parents, we face the responsibility of knowing with who our children stay in touch. A cell phone cannot be left in the hands of our children without our supervision since it would simply put them at risk. A few measures can help us keep our children’s usage of their cell phone safe:

- We can explain them that that only their friends should have their cell phone numbers, making special mention that they must not give it to any unknown person they might have found on the internet. “Do not talk to strangers” should extend to “Do not give your cell phone number to strangers”.

- We should reserve the right of checking the activity of their cell phones, having access to their call history and text messaging. We can explain to our children that this is done so as to protect their safety and not to interfere with their privacy.

- Replicate the contact list of your children in your own cell phone. If your child is with a friend and you cannot contact your child, you can always use the number of that friend.

- Keep an eye on the new numbers that appear on the cell phone of your child. Comment about those new numbers with your child so as to find out whose numbers they are.

- There are certain numbers you should carefully check: the unknown numbers. If you find out or suspect that your child is in touch with a stranger, you will need to identify that person. Special attention should be given to those numbers which you might think are from a “secret friend” your child found on the internet.

- Your first impulse can be to phone those unknown numbers yourself, but you need the approval of your child in order to do so (otherwise you will generate tensions between you and your child, and you can set an over-protective precedent)

- The White Pages can give you information regarding those unknown numbers, which can be enough to identify the callers.

- Since cell phone numbers are unlisted, you can find it convenient to do a reverse cell phone lookup search of the unknown cell phone numbers. Such a small investment can help you guarantee the safety of your child.

Cell phones and the internet allow people to act anonymously, but we have the means and tools to keep our children safe from any unknown person who tries to pose as a “friend”. If we have a good plan, we can prevent any situation where our child can be at risk from unfolding.

I use Phone Detective which has a huge compiled database and is regularly updated ensuring the highest chance of my finding the information that I am looking for, and ensuring that the information is up to date.

All I do is enter in the phone number into the search box, and within seconds I have access to the information that I need. I am in control.

Reverse Phone Lookups can get you out of a multitude of situations. Enjoy a personal experience of mine of how it helped me….

At the beginning of our relationship with my fiancée, we used to text each other a lot. We also used many other means of communication, since destiny had decided that we had to live in different countries for several months. We could not be available on the phone all the time. Not that we didn’t want to, but we both had work to do, plus our daily chores, and general obligations, not to mention the time difference that we had during those months. So, we resorted to SMS text messages very frequently, which allowed us to keep the flow of our communication according to our needs. It was a strategic element to us, since we could not always guarantee an online presence or talk over the phone. Even when SMS text messaging services are not that reliable, the whole thing was still very useful to us.

One detail got me, though, and it kept happening consistently for a full week. After sending my fiancée some messages, she responded with a question. “Why do you have another phone number? What are you up to?” Oops, I had not any new number. What was happening? Why was she getting an original number different from my own mobile phone number? Was my line being hacked? Was there someone in the middle? Or, actually, who was in the middle, and Why? I hated that my fiancée thought that I was trying to deceive her in some way, and that’s where my reverse phone lookup service came to my rescue.

My fiancée angrily forwarded me what appeared as my “new number”. I went to my reverse phone lookup service, and entered that mysterious and “new” number in the search box. The owner of the number happened to be my own provider. The address was, again, The Head Office of my provider. They had happened to use that number as a gateway in order to guarantee the delivery of the off-shore SMS messages. While it seems like a boring ending, that uninteresting piece of information enabled me to put my fiancée’s mind at rest and put our relationship back on track.

It is surprising how a reverse phone lookup can help you at the strangest times. Even when you are just exchanging text messages.

I just hate it when I have that horrid missed call on my cell phone from a number that I don’t recognize. Should I return the call incase it was from someone important, or will I be wasting my precious minutes talking to someone that I didn’t want to talk to in the first place? Even worse, do I phone back and telemarketing company without knowing it?! Because I can find people by cell phone number, I can use this tool for a multitude of uses.

If a number appears on my wifes phone, or in his phone records that looks a bit suspicious to me, I don’t need to confront her with it, I just do a search and find out who that call was made to.

If I receive a nuisance call, I can find out within seconds just who it is that is making the call.

I also use this tool to check on who is talking to my children. They may have given their number over the internet and are talking to a pervert, thinking that it is someone their own age.

This Reverse Cell Phone Lookup tool gives me a lot of information about the phone owner. I can get their name and address and sometimes a lot of additional information.

You see… a cell phone number is not stored in any central public directory, which means that you cannot use a free directory to find people by cell phone number. You need to be smart enough to subscribe to a service which will provide you the information that you need.

I use Phone Detective which has a huge compiled database and is regularly updated ensuring the highest chance of my finding the information that I am looking for, and ensuring that the information is up to date.

All I do is enter in the phone number into the search box, and within seconds I have access to the information that I need. I am in control.

A cell phone directory doesn’t work in the same way that a residential phone directory works. As cellular phone information is not in the public domain (i.e. freely available), it is not possible to do the traditional kind of search where you know the name and address and you use this information to find the phone number.

What you can do however, is start wwith the cell phone number and, working backwards, find out the name and address of the owner of the phone. This is called a Reverse Cell Phone Lookup.

There is a charge for doing a Reverse Cell Phone Lookup. This is legally required to aid in preventing abuse of the information by such as telemarketers and those engaged in illegal activity. There is no such thing as a FREE Reverse Cell Phone Lookup, so don’t waste your time trying to find one as you will only find a lot of spam.

The average person can legally use a cell phone lookup service for such purposes as:

Finding out who has been phoning you when you have missed calls on your phone;

You have phone numbers appearing on your account which you don’t recognize;

Someone is harrassing you;

You are searching for an old friend who has moved, and you only have their cell phone number;

A client has only left their mobile phone number and you don’t remember them;

You want to know what information is available on the internet about you.

All of these are quite legitimate reasons for wanting to do a cell phone lookup. The rule of thumb is, that as long as you do not use the information to engage in any telemarketing or illegal activity then you are free to use such a service.

A Reverse Cell Phone Lookup is almost an instant process. You only have to type in the area code and the seven digit phone number and you will be presented with access to any available information on that number.

There are over 200 million cell phone users in just the United States, so there is a good chance that you have already needed to be able to trace a cell phone number. You can now take control of the situation yourself by accessing cell phone number information using a Reverse Cell Phone Lookup.

Phone Detective has entered into agreements with phone companies and mobile carriers, in order to be able to obtain access to cell phone owner information. They have used this information in compiling huge databases.

Part of this agreement is that users must pay to use such a service to ensure that telemarketers do not abuse the database. Also, the service can not be used for any illegal activity.

There is a legal way to trace cell phone numbers.

Very important information can be available using a reverse cell phone number lookup, including the name and address of the phone owner. You may also be able to access additional information such as phone carrier, previous addresses and place of registration.

You can expect to receive the results of your search almost instantly. All you need to do is enter the area code and the seven digit cell phone number into the search box and you will be able to begin tracing cell phone numbers and access any available information within seconds.
